About KK Progress Bar 2

kk progress bar 2KK Progress bar 2 is a totally new uncover of my wordpress plugin. This plugin allows you to show the progress made on your projects. The new version (2.x) segregates projects and tasks so that you can see which tasks need to be completed to finish a project. The number of projects and tasks that can be added is unlimited. Users of the old wordpress plugin (1.1.x Free and 1.3.x Premium) do not need to be worried as I took care of them as well. New plugin will detect his older friend and convert the data to the new version under the condition that user allows for it. Please read further as this is just the beginning when it comes to changes!

Administration panel which lets you manage the plugin has also been drastically changed. It has been modified visually and is now more user friendly. I also made it more intuitive. What’s more important new panel allows to implement further facilities and new options.

Another option that’s been implemented is a generator of a progress bar display with the live preview. Now you have almost unlimited possibilities of adjusting progress bar to your needs. Live preview saves a lot of time as you do not need to go through the steps of setting the view, saving it, going back to the page, previewing, going back to administration panel and changing settings. That is is now in the past!

I have also added another facility of showing the progres in percents. Apart from a default setting ( setting perecentage of progress manually) you can now switch to an option wich will be automatically counting the percentage. While adding a project or a task you should  provide a final value as well as the current value and during an update you need to modify only current vaule. In this way percentage is calculated automatically.

Last but not least facility I have added is the shortcode generation. This optioon is added to a  text editor. There is no need to remember about shortcode names anymore as now it is just a matter of setting certain options and saving those changes. It is fast, it is easy and with no stress ;)

As mentioned before new version still gives a lot of options of extending the plugin. While writing that version I have already got a lot of new ideas on how to update that version with new functionalities. All upcoming updates will be free for users who will purchase KK Progress bar 2. Feel free to participate!

Hi, I just wanted to point out that you’re using direct paths for calling admin.php, instead of relative paths. If you haven’t got WP installed in your root directory (which I don’t have in my test enviroment; http://localhost/wordpress) the call for „/wp-admin/admin.php” doesn’t work, but should instead be replaced by just „admin.php”. Other than that; Nice plugin!
